Rose Street in the Drizzle

My Dear Fellow,

I remember the complete re-styling of Rose Street back in the 90's, with fancy brickwork laid and Rose mosaics along the length of it.

It's managing to look a bit shabby now, but still has a lot of charm. To be honest, I wouldn't out of preference drink in any of the bars there but I still sort of like it.

Funny to me how I used to wait outside the Menzies building on Rose Street to pick up the ex Mrs. O and then just a few years later, found myself waiting outside the same building for Er Indoors, working for a completely different organisation.

Also funny to end up living there for a few years. It wasn't the best flat but it had Feefs in it, and that made it one of my favourite places.

Anyway, here it is on a dreich day, but still full of happy memories. One cannot dampen those.
