Contentment

This is another emergency blip, taken on my phone about a minute before midnight. But it is also significant because it was while my cat was so fast asleep on me (which I always find remarkable, how an animal can be so completely trusting of a human) that I realised how happy I am at this moment.

I have everything I want: my cat and dog, who bring me so much joy; close friends who have supported me through everything; new friends who are great to spend time with; a social life at last; and as of yesterday I work full time for a brilliant team, from my pretty little flat with a garden in Bordeaux. After whingeing about many things for the last few years and going through some really low periods, I am now hugely grateful for how everything's turned out.
