Homestead Reclaimed

There was a clearing once, just beyond the larger pine, where a cabin stood until about 1988 when a small forest fire took it to ashes. For a long time there were visible a few shreds of roofing tin and a pile of stone from the collapsed chimney.

I didn't see fit to keep it cleared since it is on a portion of my property that I rarely access any more.

Mother Nature has wasted no time in reclaiming the lot.
