Camping in the rain

When we arrived at a recommended campsite in Hook of Holland, having just got off the ferry from Harwich, the kind owner said the only place he could fit us in was on a roadway.... surrounded by swampy grass because they had had an abnormal amount of rain in the last few days! So here is the van, with ducks and gulls enjoying a nice swim behind us where normally there would be tents and probably vans like ours!
We were very close to the dunes and the beach, and a restaurant where we had a good meal.
