another fine mess ….

6.30am and the ferry doors are about to open.

We’ve had some decorating done while we’ve been away.  The hall, stairs and landing have been painted.  And to take advantage of the fact that we’d be way while this was being done, we decided to have the Artex ceiling replastered.  

We get home about 10 o’clock and leave a trail of footprints across the kitchen floor as we venture inside.  There’s fine white dust everywhere.  We can’t move without creating a mess.  So instead of putting our feet up and having a cup of tea before we begin unpacking, Anniemay starts spring cleaning and I hit the supermarket.

I’d love to meet the person who thought Artex was a good idea ….
