Tiny Threads
A morning of gardening, cutting back the delphiniums and geraniums that have finished but may put on another show in the autumn. Then back to cutting out the ivy that covers the fence which needs replacing. I'm not a fan of ivy but it has been home to nesting robins and wrens over the years and the dunnocks love the cover it gives them. It's also been useful for the birds to dive into when the sparrowhawk decides to visit, but reluctantly it has to go.
This afternoon several of our photographic group visited Kathy Brown's garden in north Bedfordshire. There are some wonderful herbaceous borders to photograph plus the obligatory tea, cake and a gossip.
I should remember what this plant is called but can't. I'm sure it begins with A. It grows to about five feet tall with these lovely pinks and greens and white sticky out bits. I'm using it for Tiny Tuesday as there are some very tiny webs across the top which a spider is using to catch its prey. Many thanks to 60Plus for hosting this week.
