Sandra's homegrown veggies

My friend Angela travelled on the bus with me this morning to visit our friend Sandra. She is the one I mentioned earlier, who has to have a heart operation next week, in London. She may not survive. We found her in good form, though naturally the conversation turned to will making and funeral arrangements. It would have been strange if it hadn't.

I snapped this shot as we were leaving. Sandra had given me one of her home grown lettuces and a tiny pepper, and agreed to pose. She also aims to give each of her friends a home made pincushion. This is so strange, compared to the very energetic Sandra I first knew 22 years ago, bot old age and ill health have rendered her less outrageous.


In other good news, the plumber came and fixed our downstairs loo flush for very little money. He says he can help with our bathroom. Even better!

I left three baskets of cards to sell in businesses around town. Let's hope they sell. I've never had more than one set out at a time...
