Deforestation

This is what's happening in the woods behind the field I blipped yesterday. For the last two weeks, from 7am to 7pm, men have been cutting trees down to make the little pellets to go in certain types of woodburners.
I'm surprised they are doing it at this time of year when the birds are still nesting, and the deer and wild boar are still nurturing their young, but the French aren't known for their love of wildlife (unless they are shooting it) so I suppose this doesn't matter to them.
