Grignan

After a long family picnic, we went to Grignan for the evening production of Don Quixote. Being there really early, the idea was to spend time exploring the old area surrounding the château, but there was not much to see and the heat was such that we ended up at the terrace of a bar. SparseRunner and I celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary with a good meal (accompanied by the girls) before the show. The show was in the courtyard of the château and made good use of the facade. There were some very interesting staging and some good parallel with current politics but it is fair to say that it was very disjointed and not at all faithful to the book.
