hanging out...

...on a dead tree limb

is a roly-poly robin - an orange fluff ball just sitting

waiting - waiting - waiting - waiting

i know not for what - the sitting lasted a good 10 minutes or so - while i tried to balance on my bad hip - without falling over (i was successful) - and then surprisingly, the robin was knocked off the limb - by none other than a hummer! - that's right - a hummingbird, people - and just only because of my current gimpy state - i was not able to follow the sweet hummer to - a nearby bush it landed on for a very long moment - before whizzing off - a missed opportunity i regret - but mobility is simply too difficult these days

i merely watched it with longing then - recognized i had gotten wonderful shots of the robin - or hoped so - and it proved to be - it's all about how you look at things - i am very fortunate the robin hung around - long enough to make it...
