Trip to Elkton
Another good day, with a morning on a boat ramp on Woahink Lake, very quiet, sun and a paddle board. We brought everything that you need for a morning in the sun: sunscreen, lemonade, anti mosquito spray, chips etc. My daughter did a great job with the board but we had so much fun taking pictures that we did not pay attention when she came too close to the ramp and before we knew it, she had disappeared under water, with clothes and all. We had a good laugh!
The afternoon was dedicated to a warmer inland place, called Elkton . On the drive to that place we saw first a big group impressive male elks. On the way back we saw a huge group of females, babies and teenager elks.
The upper picture shows the whole group of females etc., and the right corner pic shows just a cropping with 8 little ones.
In Elkton we visited the Umqua Fort and stuck our feet in the big river there . It was a perfect old fashioned summer day with temperatures ranging from 17 degrees Celsius (coast) to 34 degrees C in Elkton.
thank you for your kind feedback, stars and heart on the picture of the lake.
