River Fraser, Hope near Vancouver

We were taken by our hosts to the municipality of Hope, 150 kilometres from Vancouver. We spent time on the river Fraser which flows into the city. Hope is famous for being the location used to film the first Rambo film, First Blood. We also were shown by our hosts, Shara and Aaron, how to pan for silver and gold which we actually managed to find. Don't hold your breath, however, we're talking tiny flecks!

The blip shows the river where we swam and searched for minerals and precious stones. There was a log which spanned the river and which the boys decided to cross over. I decided to leave them to it.
