from the sublime to the ridiculous

So, we trained and tubed it up to Pinner to meet Sr Agnes, Pete's Aunt.   
In this shot she is telling Peter and I about the intrigues that go on in a house full of nuns. Dramas over the "washing up basin" and "confrontations at the top of the stairs about the car keys".  Who'd have thought it?!  

After a very pleasant lunch in the park  Agnes took us back to the holy house of intrigue.     It was clear that her nosy nun holy house mates were very keen to check us out.  They were almost falling over themselves to get in through the kitchen door to check us out.    In super quick time, Sr Eileen, a whiz in the culinary department,  had whipped out some freshly made scones and plates of biscuits for us.      Peter quickly won over Sr Esther, the Mother Superior, with his sense of humour.  She had quite a twinkle in her bright blue eyes by the time she "God blessed" us out of the door.

Pete and I then hoofed it back in to Town to the RADA studios to be in the audience for the Radio 4 sitcom To Hull and Back.    It is very funny and stars Maureen Lipman and Lucy Beaumont.      It was very hot in the studio and Lucy Beaumont, the writer and star of the show, is 8 months pregnant so she was almost passing out by the end of the recording.  Maureen Lipman was fanning her with her script.    Even that they made highly amusing.

Finally got home just before midnight.  Pooped but happy.
