A visit to the Farne Islands

Today we took a boat trip to the Farne Islands which included landing on the bird sanctuary of Inner Farne, famous for its Puffins, Terns and other seabird colonies.
A photograph of a puffin with sandeels in its mouth is almost obligatory from such a visit, so here is mine. The job of posing for visitors seems to have become organised, this little fellow had, apparently been posing like this for over an hour..
