Icebergs on Tasman Lake
Today we saw the icebergs - pieces of ice that have broken off the Tasman Glacier and have been pushed down Tasman Lake by the prevailing nor'west wind. Some are rearing up to 15 metres out of the water, with most of the iceberg beneath the water.
At this point in the photo they are grounded and about to break up and float down the Tasman River.
In extras see the icebergs at the entry to the Tasman River, with mountains of the Liebig Range (2000 metres) behind.
