The Olympic effect

Head Office in Commercial Street E1. Normally the street is full of traffic and screaming sirens. The Olympics seemed to have caused a mass exodus, London is deserted. I left home at 7.45 this morning and arrived here at just after 1. Quickest journey ever.

Down (up?) first class - bliss. ' Free' food, limitless coffe and lost of space. Up (down?) in standard class. Less room and East Coast fiddling with seat reservations means I'm going backwards, not forwards. Hopefully more space after York.

It was a good day. Spoke to colleagues, delivered some mail, picked up a BB.

But it will be late before I get home, very late.
