A Proper Gypsy Horse
With a proper Romany wagon to pull. I called it a caravan, but was corrected by a small child with an enormous bacon sandwich. Not your average inhabitants of the cliff top at Boscombe, but apparently the police have said it's ok for them to stay a few days. They live locally, in a house, but this is a holiday for them.
I can remember the last gypsy camp in this area being demolished when I was a child. Even though the gypsy kids at my primary school were a trial, to say the least, and I was afraid of the women who pushed "lucky" flowers into my face in Christchurch, I still felt sorry that they had lost their traditional way of life. Nowadays they live in rundown council houses.
