TwelveTrees: July: Spreading Chestnut

Under this spreading chestnut tree I played as a child. Unlike most things from my childhood it's still there, and it seems a bit bigger rather than smaller. It has grown a bit in the last 50 years. It's Peak Leaf now. Even with all the rain this year next month will see the start of the decline. 

Horse Chestnut, Aesculus hippocastanum.
