Golden lake
Today we drove to Deacon. First we popped into a shopping area where we knew there was a Chapters book shop! I bought a guide to my camera. At the other end of the area an IKEA! Had to check if it was really the same as at home! Yes is the answer bar just a few items but those may have been new! We had lunch there! As we left the temperature outside was 32C!
On to get petrol and to our destination. We are by the Golden Lake at Greystone Manor. A room in a beautiful grey stone house. It's like being in a home rather than in a hotel. We arrived completely worn out and the lady immediately gave us a cup of tea and a piece of homemade cake! The carpets are thick and soft and you take your shoes off and leave them at the bottom of the stairs! Breakfast is going to be a surprise! We have been told that they have an excellent cook, a lovely young lady, who does something different every day!
This place is wonderful for little ones as they have a number of little wooden houses. A whole street with a church at the end, a post office, cinema, houses and a general store? Apparently the children are given the local money, the Greystone dollars and can buy various things in the shop when it's open!! Such a pity we don't have little Missy! But soon all our family will be in Canada! About half are already!
We took advice and ate in a lovely restaurant a couple of minutes away watching the sun go down over the lake. ( actually not much of a sunset as clouds have gathered) then we went and sat for a few minutes on their little beach!
Sleep well! I'm sorry but I'm too exhausted to comment, I will eventually catch up but not for a while yet!
