Exploring

Couple of wanders around Verona before and after breakfast-great location for the apartment 50yds from Juliet's balcony (extra). Decided not to add extra time to parking meter so set off south via some Parmesan dairies but they seemed more farm shops than places you could go for a tour.
Stopped at a roadside cafe for a delicious pizza and salad, then continued to Bologna.
Once settled at the hotel we set off to explore and walked for ages getting lost and enjoying the wander. Found the whispering gallery and the library with exposed Roman ruins in the basement and the longest sundial in the world inside the basilica....http://www.scienzagiovane.unibo.it/English/scientists/cassini-2.html
Less luck with tasty nibbles and aperitifs....bit random....but by then we were so tired we wandered back home and collapsed the rest of the evening. Hopefully we'll be more energised after an early night!
