BINDWEED THROTTLES NETTLE

I can see the vivid headline
in the frantic flower press,
keeping nettles on their mettle,
urging Bindweed to confess.

Witnesses: a bunch of thistles
won't forget the sight:
"Never!" says a spokesman.
"It made my hair turn white!"

BINDWEED THROTTLES NETTLE:
words running through their sap,
while Bindweed simply flowers
as it tightens up its wrap.
