The Future of a Fuchsia

I rescued all that remained of a beautiful fuchsia tree after it was hacked out the ground.

It is now a bonsai in training and two years later, has sprouted very encouragingly and is even flowering!

I have allowed it to grow unchecked as well as placing it in a long pot to encourage root growth as part of the recovery process as there were very few roots on the stump after the butchering.

My plan is to place an attractive stone between the two stems and have been searching river beds, sea shores and mountains for the right stone.

I shall report back every five years.
