July Dawyck
I completed one side of the ceiling cladding so was able to give myself a treat And a wander around Dawyck Botanical Gardens was due. It was drizzly and I found out that the garden hosts a significant colony of midges which limited my time sitting admiring the views.
All the spectacular colours have gone from the garden. Interest comes from the spectacular shapes and the structures of the trees and their canopies with multi-level shades of green. The berries are coming through and promise much for the autumn. The wide spaces were carpeted with snowdrops then daffodils then bluebells and are now left to go wild which helps the ecology of the place. It still makes for a delightful stroll.
It is a special place.
