Torridon update

I am currently in Torridon and have had a wonderful day. Despite my stomach problems back, I headed out for a 10km low level walk this morning and put on my running shoes just in case I was in the mood to jog some of it. After a difficult first 5km, I had my first ever running revelation (as people always say - lungs and legs were working perfectly together). I ran 5km without stopping and felt great!! :) that's the furthest I've ever run without stopping too, and I could have gone for longer if I hadn't reached the road. I then hitched two lifts back to my car (as the walk was at the base of a munro and not circular) and drove back into Torridon for lunch and strawberries (which were wonderful). I managed another 10km of wandering and a trip to Inverewe gardens - not bad for another ill day :)

I have another two days in Torridon before a trip to Knoydart and another couple of days in Glencoe or the Cairngorms before coming home. It's meant to be very rainy tomorrow so I'm going to go on another walk/run along the loch until I get tired and wet. Running definitely makes me feel more achey, but it's worth it!
