Dunottar Castle, near Stonehaven

Lovely day for our first drive out in our "new" car.  We had a fish and chip lunch by the harbour in Arbroath, before driving on to Montrose to look at the seals and seabirds at the Wildlife Centre.

Then it was my turn to drive and we went up the coast road to Dunottar Castle, which we have visited once before.  I drove round the small car park three times and still couldn't find a space, so parked instead at the top of the hill leading down to Stonehaven.

From there, it was an easy walk up to the war memorial on the hill and there were great views of the castle and out over the North Sea.  The car was a dream to drive and we are very happy with it:-)

Beautiful sunset tonight, so that bodes well for more good weather tomorrow.  About time too:-)
