Agony
They didn't tell me it would hurt this bad ;-)
Around 9pm the blasted shoulder began to stiffen, then throb, and by the time I went to bed tears came to my eyes involuntarily! It turns out I'm having a cortisone flare that most people get. After a few days it should subside.
I dozed all night, I could hardly get comfy. At 6am I was up and searching for meds. I couldn't dress myself, and literally had to keep my elbow by my hip, rendering me one-handed all day. I managed to instruct my mum as to how to do my hair, and she did quite a good job ;-)
We popped to the chemist to get some meds, and the rest of the day was a bit of a waste. I had to get Little Ro to drive me to my appointment with A. Well, I did have to pay her but that was fair enough ;-)
I honestly can't believe how much it hurts. I have a high pain threshold, but every time I accidentally knocked my elbow it killed! It was so painful, I wonder whether it will be worth it. I guess I won't know until it's settled down in a few days. But I'm already thinking it might be too painful to have the other one done.....
I walked the dog with my mum tonight, and then just relaxed. Funny old time. Summer holidays but it doesn't really feel like summer.
