Thursday: Burrard Street
So far, the GPS has taken me a different route to work every day. This morning was a route I liked - not shorter but less heavy in traffic. That's a major consideration when driving the tank work has provided - today on the way home was the first time I felt relatively comfortable with the dimensions of the thing.
This week I have spent time mainly getting to know the team and setting up a whole load of introductory meetings for next week. Interestingly, I now work in an all female office - a very diverse and interesting lot. I like them very much.
And I like this city very much. As does K. We were saying tonight that we haven't really thought about Zagreb too much - there has been so much to focus on here. And we haven't even scratched the surface yet.
Tonight we watched Hillary's speech in Philadelphia. I realised with the referendum in June that nothing is ever guaranteed - but let's hope the right thing happens in November.
This grand building is the Fairmont Hotel. I do see a lot of building shots on the horizon - buildings, skyscrapers, reflections of buildings.........more buildings.
