On our way
Smiles on the start of our journey to Dover. My plan is to blip when we get to Cambridge. That's a 2 hour drive from home where we hope to grab a cup of tea and a rest with Jon's mum & dad.
We got up at 9, then spent the rest of the day with last minute packing, lots of cleaning and a food shop for animal food, plus bits for our journey. Plus loads of sweets....diet is off & we have 24 hours of stop start journeying ahead of us.
Last minute checks to tickets, p&o travel twitter for Dover and passports all done, just as Jean arrived to house sit. With her she brought her two pets, Kakapo her little cat & Hattie the harvest mouse. They had driven down from Leeds this morning. It will be an interesting mix of animals, but Jean is used to that.
We showed her around the various animals and their food. Luckily for us she has fed the dragon before! She has an interesting week planned, starting with the Blickling Park run tomorrow. I hope she feels it is a holiday and not too much of a chore, as we are very grateful! It is the down side of having lots of pets.
So ahead of us, we have the drive to Dover, then hopefully a smooth crossing early tomorrow without any hold ups....
At the moment, I'm not promising blips for the next two weeks.....I don't want the pressure! I might. I might not
