Staring at Spiders

Today we took Jackson to Boston's wonderful Museum of Science.
There was a special exhibition on Spiders at the museum, and it was very interesting ... if a little creepy-crawly!  Here's a picture of our young man intently examining a collection of spiders in glass specimen tubes.  We also saw live bird-eating spiders (they were very large and furry!), several types of tarantulas (our favourite was the the Mexican Ornamental Tarantula, with his snazzy yellow and black striped legs), Black Widows, Brown Recluses, and Orb Weavers.

We also saw a very interesting exhibit about frogs, and also experimented with size and proportion (in a different part of the museum) -- Jackson sat in three different sized chairs, each in front of a mirror.  One chair was normal-sized, one was teeny tiny, which made him look like a giant, and one was an enormous chair which made him look like we'd shrunk him in the wash!  (See extra).

Later this afternoon, we are going to the movies to see The Secret Life of Pets.
