Baywalk

Cycled with bro starting at 430am to the Philippine President's Residence and Baywalk today.

As soon as we reached the president's house's block, Presidential Security Group (PSG) members greeted us. It was quite unnerving but we smiled and they kindly asked to search our bags for security purposes. We asked if we can get near the house and they said , "Of course Maam!". The security check was quick and we headed straight to Duterte's house right away. It was very awkward as there were a few people in front of the house and another PSG member looking at us while we were taking photos beside this lifesize photo cutout of Duterte. I knew my brother was feeling uneasy because he "smiled" when i took his photo. He usually does faces when a camera is pointed at him. We were quick with our visit. I even forgot to ask if the President was inside the house (or in the capital). But i was just too conscious about everything and I didnt want to look too nosy.

We cycled to Baywalk after and witnessed this magnificent Statue of
David replica by the sea. Believe it or not, this statue has been in Davao City for several years now but this is my first time to visit it. If there is one thing that living abroad taught me, it is to explore my city/country more. Unfortunately, the fountain area in front of the 30-foot statue has been drained. We also missed the three dolphins and Little Mermaid statue that you can apparently find near the statue. We circled the park but i swear I havent seen the two. We left the park as loud music started to play. People have gathered for a very early session of Zumba.
