Whistler

Today we drove to Whistler, a ski resort which hosted the winter Olympics in 2010. We decided to hire a car having used public transport since we arrived and having walked a considerable distance. The journey from our house in Vancouver to Whistler was supposed to be memorable and sure enough, the scenery was at times jaw-dropping. I couldn't stop the car unfortunately but could catch glimpses of the scenery unfolding as we sped past. Lots of potential blips in my minds eye but frusratingly, nowhere to stop! What I found amazing was the colour of the water. We did a bit of kayaking in Squamish and finally arrived at Whistler later in the evening.

A group of females asked one of my son's to take a photo of them in Whistler in front of the Olmypic rings. They thought they'd do something a bit different in front of camera and this was their pose.
