Chaos in the kitchen

Not quite on top of this whole Christmas thing this year so far. Usually, we'd have the tree and lots of decorations up in the first days of December, but not this year. I wonder why???? How do you toddler-proof Christmas decor anyway? At least I have gone so far as to get the kitchen Christmas stuff out and all the deccies etc are now down from the loft. I think since I have a few days off work, I'll try to make the effort to get the place looking more festive.
