The end of a hot summer day

Walked out into the garden after most of the blazing sun was off the garden to find my roses lit up with the special light of that time of day. This rose bush has a number of perfect roses this year.  Usually they are a bit ratty, so I'm happy to see this. Having time to prune probably makes the difference - ah, retirement!
