The Peace of the Mountains.

SwissPiper starts her nine day trek in the Adamelo di Brenta today, so I drove her up the steep Passo di Croce Minimimini to her rendezvous with friends at a remote Mountain Refuge/Restaurant. I was eagerly anticipating a good, peaceful lunch before starting my long journey home. Only to discover that it was the venue for a two-day bikers rally complete with heavy metal music. There were hundreds of bikes and numerous stalls selling hand-tooled, saddle bags, and leathers of every colour. However, the atmosphere was friendly, some of the music took me back to the days of my youth and the food sure was good.
