The way I see it.

Logie Steading

After a spot of putting up shelves and sorting through a cupboardful of tools and other stuff we had a late start for today's adventure which took us to Logie Steading. This is one of my favourite places as it has just about everything that you would want on an afternoon out. A tearoom with the very best homebaking, an old second hand book shop, a felting workshop, gift shop and gallery, a country food shop and the best palce to buy all sorts of wonderful plants. Oh and there's a little museum and an antique shop that sells old restored furniture!

The first highlight was visiting the beautiful garden that has been recently replanted and coming across the lady of the big house who was getting stuck into some serious gardening! She chatted away to us as she worked and is a very knowledgeable plantswoman who has a flair for informal planting within the constraints of imaginative garden design. It was a real privilege to walk round her garden and feast our eyes of the magnificent plants that romped about in such a happy fashion.
Today's blip shows her laden wheelbarrow, some of the planting and her house in the background.

The second highlight was a walk down to the river through the beech woods. - beautiful. Could thoroughly recommend a whole day out here if you find yourself in Morayshire, NE Scotland.
