The Windings

This image depicts the old windings at a former Shropshire colliery. It was de-commissioned two or three decades ago, was re-landscaped and is now a caravan site and leisure club. A sizeable area of this leisure club is woodland, with natural ponds and a permanent barbecue site. The leisure club itself has an outdoor swimming pool with perspex covering, and a clubhouse with the usual bar facilities and space for indoor social functions.
