Rain stopped hay?

It looks as though the farmer stopped mid-field a couple of days ago. Maybe the rain came on suddenly.
There were a few bales of straw at the side of the field, but not many.
It's 9pm and I'm  off to bed soon. I've got to leave around 3 am to get down to Heathrow.
Nail-biting time.
