St. Mary's church, Amersham

A friend of mine is getting married here next month. I am going to sketch/paint the church as a wedding card for her and her husband to be. So I wandered around the church taking photos from different angles.

Ruth Ellis is buried here. She was the last woman to be executed in the UK, in 1955. Her son, Andy, destroyed the headstone before he commited suicide in 1982.
