Iford Manor
We've had a super day today. We started off at the Courts Garden, a National Trust property in Holt (not far from Bradford-on-Avon). We've been there many times before but, for some reason, never in the summer. It was beautiful.
After a lunch at the NT cafe (toasted goat's cheese with onion relish and salad, very tasty indeed) we went a few miles to Iford Manor, which we'd never visited before. What a stunning garden! Designed byHarold Ainsworth Peto, it covers 2.5 acres of steep hillside in a wonderful Italianate style.
