Hauling in the nets

With a busy weekend ahead, we decided to go down to Alnwick for the supermarket shop this evening.

But first the obligatory walk on the beach with Louie at Alnmouth. When we fist arrived the tide was out. As it turned, the fishermen on this small boat, which was anchored a little way out from mouth of the Aln, started hauling in the nets. Not a big catch - we spotted only about half-a-dozen fish - but MrM reckons they were almost certainly salmon.
