Lac Bleu

WHR day 6.

*Amazed at the wonderful response to Magical Moments, thank you all for your kindness.

After two big days in the mountains and nights in huts the clients are always pleased when we descend to the high alpine village of Arolla. I'm torn as I'd like to go to the Dix Hut but Arolla is so picture card pretty that it's hard to do anything other than smile when we arrive.

Day 6 is a very lazy day. Too much to add to either days 5 or 7, but not enough to feel taxing. A lie in and a fantastic leisurely breakfast were called for.
With glorious weather on our side we headed up to Lac Bleu at 2100m, a gentle stroll and plenty of time to laze around. Being the first day of the holidays for many folk the lake's shoreline was heaving with people, but it's glacial origins meant that no-one braved more than a foot in the water.
I ambled up higher to look up at the Aguilles Rouges d'Arolla and glancing back saw this. Blip done.

Notes for self.
