Shibden Valley

After last night ( stayed fine, but we ate in the conservatory as it was quite cool) we decided on a leisurely walk from Shibden Park, along the valley.
It is such a lovely peaceful valley, and yet so near to Halifax town centre.
Another of our favourite  hidden places.
We didn't stop at Shibden Mill Inn, which we passed on the way, but called in to see friends, and had a nice cup of coffee and biscuits, sat out in the sun having a natter.
An hour passed very quickly, and it was early afternoon when we got back to the car.
By then the car park was full. Lots of families enjoying feeding the ducks, rowing on the lake, riding the little train, playing on the swings etc. and picnicking on the grass.Making the most of a nice warm Sunday afternoon.
We have had a lovely day, hope you have too.
