Ladies in waiting ..... (backblip)

Not one, but two Guinea Fowl on the same nest sitting the eggs. They are well hidden so I could only get a shot of one beady eye looking at the camera.   Their owner (who lives up the road from the Farmhouse we're staying at) said that sadly there'll be no dad for the offspring as yesterday, he jumped off the wall and fell into an old tank which was full of water and drowned.  How sad is that?  Worse, of course, than  us leaving Cornwall today but we're staying the weekend with friends in Devon so withdrawal pangs won't be so painful!
