Beauly Firth
I was out on my bike again today, with every intention of joining my brother for a lap around the Beauly Firth (he is doing twelve in 24hrs for the local life boat station and ms charities) He had loads of company, who were all more able and experienced road cyclists than me and I didn't want to slow them down. (a wee crisis of confidence) So I just followed on behind them at my own pace, taking in the view which is beautiful
I've done this before when I was younger and fitter. But this felt like a new experience to me, maybe that's because I'm more aware of wildlife and the environment these days.
Herons and Red Kites on view and even the occasional otter scurrying across the road, I found the wind a little tricky to cope with at times and am now feeling a bit achy, probably a bit too much too soon for me, but satisfying none the less. The sun hasn't tried very hard today and there was always a feeling of rain in the air.
Hope you've all had a good day.
