Lunch

In what seems to be becoming a habit, S and I had lunch at the local restaurant in advance of his setting off on the next lap of his adventure tomorrow. It was delicious as usual; this is his dessert of financiers aux fruits rouges. In the evening we weren't hungry enough to consider eating, so at about eight o'clock we went to the bar for a quick drink/to catch up on gossip/find out why a posse of gendarmes had been roaming the village earlier. K came over and invited us to meet a stray Englishman who ended up joining our multilingual table for wide-ranging chat and generous inroads into local rosé production --  I reckon it will have run out by the end of the summer. Two and a half hours later we made it home.
