Lothian Jungle

Eventually made it out of the house. The initial plan was to walk to Blackness Castle but we left it too late. Instead we took the bus to Penicuik and walked along the Esk to Roslin. Nice gentle walk past old industries along an old railway line. Today's blip is of a totally overgrown mill race part of the gunpowder mill near Roslin. I always like to imagine what it would have been like when it was still operational. The weir upstream was broken. When I was there last, there was still a mill pond. Time never stands still.
