South Bank
A complicated and busy day but nevertheless enjoyable. I had met Lucie in London last night and we had an early appointment at the US embassy for her Visa, so a big part of the morning was taken up with that – successfully: the visa was granted - phew!!
We then had to find the hotel we had booked for the following two nights. It was in one of the poorest parts of London, and it looked pretty dilapidated from the outside, but turned out to be totally fine, clean, with a nice room and very friendly!
Back to the centre to pick up Katya from the Station. She was travelling on her own, bringing Ferelith's bike which we just brought back from France. We attached said bike at the station and joined Ferelith at the South Bank where she was volunteering as a London Ambassador to give her the lock key!! South Bank was bustling with the Festival of Love, which takes place all summer.
Finally we went to see Mamma Mia – which was a treat for the girls since it will be our last “Girls Adventure Week-end” before Lucie leaves. It was good fun, but we might have enjoyed it even more if we hadn’t seen the film.
