Scones

William went to N&P's mid morning, so after Carys had written her diary and read a reading book we decided to do some cooking. Carys wanted to use her cutters so we decided upon scones. Not bad for a first effort I thought. She did it all herself from the rubbing the butter and flower together to the cutting out. In hind sight we should have used a bigger cutter but we used the size the recipe said.

After cooking Carys did some hama beads, then decided to do some maths on the computer, before heading to her friends for the rest of the afternoon and for tea.

William returned after I had dropped Carys off, and was adamant he did not want to go swimming, but was more than happy to play games at the tables with the olympics on in the back ground.

Tried last night to get tickets for the athletics on Thursday as it was showing availability and with kids prices too. So, so frustrating, I can get to pressing the request tickets button, but then it goes no further, just refreshing the same page! Same happened when I tried for hockey tickets. Will continue to try but it is not good for my blood pressure.
