Picos de Europa

At least it has remained dry today although we haven't seen much sun.   

We have moved West into the Picos de Europa mountains where we had intended to stay for 3 days but we have decided to go on to Oviedo tomorrow and come back via this area in a few days when hopefully the weather will improve.

We fell foul of the continental habit of closing shops whenever we want to use them today.  We spent all morning looking for a supermarket during our travels and when we spotted one at 3pm we found it had just closed for the day because it is a Saint's day.  No wonder Spain (and other european countries) are in financial trouble!

On that subject,  we had an interesting chat with a neighbouring Dutch man last night who expressed amazement that we had voted 'Remain'.  

He wants Holland to follow us in a "Hexit" vote.
