New University
University Campus, Suffolk on Ipswich Quayside, established in 2007 as a hub for further education leading to degrees validated by the Universities of East Anglia and (of) Essex had a change of name and status today and will now award home-grown degrees as The University of Suffolk.
The £200,000 marble and granite sculpture In front of its checkerboard frontage raised questions when it was installed, described as a 'frivolous waste of money' but explained (?) as "It's about us looking to the future as a university ... we're really privileged to have this."
Sorry not commenting at present. Broke my glasses, difficulty seeing screen and waiting for replacement. Back soon I hope
